Samuel in Baseball

Samuel is doing this little "Start Smart" program for baseball right now for 3 to 5 year olds, and he absolutely LOVES it! Just wanted to post some fun pictures of our cute little guy "playing baseball"...

Colette has a fun time too, playing in the dirt, while watching her big brother. :)

One of Samuel's favorite activities that they do is playing with the big parachute. He also LOVES their "mascot" -- the coach calls their team the Coyotes, and he has this stuffed animal Coyote that Samuel is always quick to find and hold. :)

Planting Our Garden

Well, for Family Home Evening this past Monday, we actually planted the seeds for our garden in the beautiful plots that Jared built for us! The kids were SO excited to each pick out the seeds they wanted to plant, and to help in planting them. We were surprised how long it took us all that evening to get it done -- quite a job! And now we're hoping that at least SOMETHING will grow!! :) We really have no experience in this yet, and just figure the best way to learn is through trial & error.... We'll see what happens. If nothing else, it's definitely been a fun family project so far! :)

Anyway, here's some fun pictures of the kids planting their seeds -- (although I'm never in the pictures, I really was involved -- just always happen to be the photographer!) :)

Coloring, Garden, & Dishes

Just some fun pictures from the last week here...Brielle is our coloring book queen as always -- half her days are spent at the counter, coloring any blank picture she can find in her books & making up songs or stories as she does so.... I just thought it was so cute the other day, how Colette decided she wanted to join her -- and seeing the two sisters coloring side by side and jabbering away brought back so many memories of me and Athena constantly sitting at our little table, coloring and talking our pictures when we were little too... :)

All day this past Saturday, Jared worked on building us some garden plots in our backyard -- we are attempting a garden!! (Crossing our fingers that it works -- we've never done one before)... The kids had a blast all day out there with him ("helping")... They did an awesome job! (Don't mind the mismatched and too-small clothes -- used for play clothes and getting-dirty clothes!) :)

Well, I have a sweetheart husband (not to mention kids!), and they decided to do all the cleanup work for me Sunday evening after dinner, so I could lay down and rest for a bit.... Their little system they had going with the dishes was so cute -- with Samuel rinsing, and Brielle loading the dishwasher... Amazingly enough, no dishes were broken and they really did all get clean for the most part! :)

Easter Sunday Best

So fun to have the bright Easter clothes on Easter Sunday! I just love it when the girls are in matching dresses… And what a handsome little man we have in between too, of course! :).

Our Easter

We had a very fun Easter weekend with my Grandma & Grandpa Haws visiting us! We painted eggs together on Saturday, and the kids had coloring parties with the new coloring books their Great-Grandma & Grandpa got for them while they were here. And of course Easter Sunday was very fun! Kids make any holiday a blast!

Books & Pirates

Colette is in the stage of being obsessed with reading books these days, and all three kids are in this “Pirates of the Caribbean” craze! They want us to play the “Pirates Song” over and over so they can dance to it, and the older two even love watching the movie now as well… Funny kids!
